Saturday September 14

  Arrival at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport; welcome by François Calame, responsible of the workshop and Bruno Mengoli, architecte des bâtiments de France de Seine-Maritime; accommodation and meals at the cloître des Pénitents - 8, allée Daniel Lavallée (48, rue Saint-Hilaire) - Rouen.


Sunday September 15

  07.45 Breakfast at the cloister

  08.30 Rouen and town-planning history by Alain Gaspérini (architect DPLG): Cloître des Pénitents Rouen.

  09.00 Discovering wooden heritage in Rouen
Guided tour by lecturer-guides of the Tourism Office of Rouen with Yves Lescroart (Inspecteur général des monuments historiques), Patrice Pusatéri (Service départemental de l'architecture et du patrimoine de Seine-Maritime), Marie-Christiane de La Conté (Conservateur régional des monuments historiques à la Drac de Haute-Normandie), and with the City Town-planning service.

  12.30 Lunch at the restaurant "la Boucherie" 4, place Saint-Marc - Rouen.

  14.30 Visit of the district, and place du Vieux Marché in Rouen.

  17.00 Public conference "European communications around the wooden architectural heritage" (rendezvous at the Cloître des Pénitents 48, rue Saint-Hilaire Rouen)

During this meeting, exhibition of genuine ancient archives on the construction of wooden monuments in Normandie, aswell as models of journeymen master pieces.

  10.45 Welcome at the headquarter of Les Compagnons du Devoir, in Mont-Saint-Aignan, visit ot the house and the masterpieces hall, with Jean-Jacques Soulas, Architect and maître-charpentier

  12.00 Lunch with Les Compagnons

  14.30 Visit of the attics of abbatial church of Saint-Ouen (Rouen) XIVth century, with Henri Decaens, administrator

  17.00 Visit of the Ropefactory Vallois industrial museum at Notre-Dame de Bondeville, with Alain Joubert, curator


  18.45 Reception at the City Hall of Rouen, with Pierre Albertini, Mayor and Member of Parliament

  22.00 Transport and accomodation at Saint-Ouen du Tilleul (Eure).


Tuesday September 17

  08.00 Discovering our workplace at the ferme de Beaumont (Village of Bourneville, Eure) Historical visit with Lionel Dumarche (conservation of historical monuments) ; technical visit of damages and restauration projects ;

  17.15 Visit of the La Pipardière manor, with André Desperrois, aswell as the city of Pont-l'Evêque (quartier Vaucelles, Dominicans convent, and « the joyful prison » (!) ; reception at the City hall
