Before leaving
We will send the documents that we want you to read before the workshop. These documents will also be available on this web-site. It would be very nice if you, in the national teams, could take the chance during the travel to Sweden to translate the content of these documents for those who do not understand English very well.

Weather conditions
The weather in the area in this late winter-early spring period could be very nice with clear and sunny days (+15 C) and cold nights (-5 C). But prepare for cloudy days around 0 degrees!

Clothes/equipment and tools
Prepare for out-door working days (it could be pretty warm days but also rainy and cold): warm clothes, rough boots, gloves, rain-coat, - good clothes for field work in northern Europe!

Craftsmen bring one or two of their favourite axes and maybe other favourite tool for this kind of work. Remember! Make good parcels for your tools and put them in the check-in luggage at the airport. Don´t try to take them into the cabin! Chain saws will be available at the workshop site, but only the entrepreneur shall use them. This is a matter of insurances in Sweden.

Architects bring necessary tools for simple field sketches. Tape measures will be available. One laser meter may be available, but will surely not be necessary. For digital cameras there will be possibilities to download in a computer and make CD-discs. Please bring your own adapters and capture programmes.

Language/Translation
English will be used during the workshop. Therefore, it is preferable - but not necessary - if participants have basic knowledge in English. Participating architects must support craftsmen in translation when needed.

Visas, tickets, passports etc.
Check with your travel agency which documents are requested for entering Sweden.
